William Vaughan Company is helping in the search for a Controller for a manufacturing production facility based in West Central Ohio. As the Controller, you will be the financial backbone of our plant, ensuring accurate processing of all accounts payable, payroll, and cost accounting activities. You’ll be responsible for overseeing internal controls, ensuring compliance, and supporting the plant’s operational efficiency with your keen attention to detail and proactive problem-solving. Role:

  • Own the Books: Manage accounts receivable & payable, company balance sheets, income statements, and all things ledger-related.
  • Be a Payment Maestro: Invoice, track payments, and resolve past-due balances with finesse.
  • Inventory Guru: Track tooling inventory and collaborate with engineering for monthly updates.
  • Financial Analyst Extraordinaire: Reconcile ledgers, analyze data, prepare statements for management, shareholders, and tax reporting.
  • Compliance Champion: Conduct internal audits, maintain controls, and ensure all financial reporting meets standards.
  • Forecasting Pro: Project cash flow, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations.
  • ERP System Specialist: Use Made-2-Manage (or similar ERP) to input, review, and optimize job costing and analysis.
  • KPI Contributor: Provide key data for company performance metrics.
  • Uphold a respectful and collaborative workplace culture.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience with an automotive/manufacturing supplier (preferred).
  • Strong computer literacy and familiarity with manufacturing ERP systems (e.g., Made 2 Manage).
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
